CableJive Announces dockBoss5

dockBoss5 Connects Any Portable Device to a 30-pin iPod or iPhone Dock Station.

Malden, MA, July 9, 2013 - On a continued mission to save all audio docks made pre-iPhone 5 from being tossed into a landfill, CableJive announces an adapter that connects all portable phones or tablets to any 30-pin audio dock to charge and listen to music. dockBoss5 is a sleek, black, adapter that neatly connects to a speaker dock and offers both a USB port as well as an audio connection (headphone jack). dockBoss5 is an ideal alternative to wireless speakers and adapters that lack the ability to charge a device. In comparison to Apple’s 30-pin to Lightning adapter, dockBoss5 is compatible with all portable devices and the cable connection means that users can hold the device in their hand.

dockBoss5 is the fifth release in a series of adapters designed to make Android and other devices compatible with the millions of iPod or iPhone docks that have flooded the market prior to the release of iPhone 5. The inclusion of a USB port, a universal connection, converts a 30-pin dock station into a universal charge station for any device with the addition of audio output through the headphone jack. Utilizing a USB port also means that dockBoss5 will continue to be relevant even as device and wireless technology evolves.

dockBoss5 is the wired alternative for those seeking charge functionality in a market full of wireless speakers and wireless adapters. dockBoss5 is also equipped to pass through remote control functions including pause, forward, reverse, for audio docks that offer remote controls, including the popular Bose SoundDock.

dockBoss5 includes a 3 foot 1/8” (3.5mm) Audio Patch Cable (black) and a 3 foot micro-USB to USB 2.0 cable (black).

dockBoss5 sells for $29.95 and is available from the CableJive store at:

CableJive creates seriously useful cables and adapters for passionate music and electronics enthusiasts all over the world. In 2006, CableJive’s culture was born in an attic with a soldering iron and a very simple, yet genius, idea to enable a wider variety of portable music players to be handheld while connected to SoundDock speaker systems. Early to market, dockBoss set the stage for many unique and high quality products from CableJive, including dockXtender, dockStubz, iStubz, ProJive, dockBoss air (wireless music adapter) and samDock (a cable that connect Samsung Galaxy to a iPod dock). CableJive has moved into an office space in Malden, MA, but still breaks out the soldering iron and electronics multi-tester to build and test new products based on requests from our loyal customer base.
